Locally owned Hop Jack’s to change name to Hops N Drops
Bonney Lake, WA.... October 2, 2018.... Hop Jack’s, "A Neighborhood Gathering Place," popular for being a neighborhood place to gather with family and friends will be changing its name to Hops N Drops. “When we opened our first Hop Jack’s 9 years ago we thought we would be known for our beer. Although cold beer is a major part of our brand, our guests also love our icy drops. Changing the name simply better describes who we are and in the long run will be easier for both our guests and team members,” said Founder, Mark Eggen.
“Completing the name change throughout the company will be done before the end the year,” said Eggen. “Beyond the obvious signage, logo, and uniform changes we are taking this opportunity to also upgrade a few other things our guests are going to enjoy. Some of the changes include a new, more user-friendly website, an online ordering system including an updated point of sale system that will enhance the guest experience and payment process, as well as new plate-ware. What won’t change is that our guests will see the same friendly faces and experience the same menu and atmosphere. Everything our guests have come to know and enjoy at Hop Jack’s will still be there for them when they visit a Hops N Drops.”
The company will open its first Colorado location in Colorado Springs on December 3rd. An additional Oregon location will open on November 5th. Both restaurants will open under the new name, Hops N Drops. As the company continues to grow, each restaurant opening in 2018 and beyond will take the name Hops N Drops.
This new name, Hops N Drops, was suggested by a key team member and the leadership team unanimously felt it was a good fit. “We are known for iced cold beers poured at 34’ and icy drinks which are a more exciting version of a lemon drop. Our icy drinks, or drops, as many guests refer to them, come in a variety of real fruit flavors and are served in a glass made of real ice. Hence the name Hops N Drops,” said Jeff Morgan, Vice President of Operations.
Hop Jack’s, founded in the Pacific Northwest in 2009, currently has 17 locations. Mark Eggen and his team, led by Vice President of Operations, Jeff Morgan, opened the first Hop Jack’s in Bonney Lake, Washington. The mission was to “create a fresh, delicious and fun experience for guests while excelling in hospitality and supporting the needs of the community.”
